Recently Mr Nel took his Grade 9 English Language class to Scrummies as part of their recent creative writing learning process. Separated into groups, the Grade 9 boys have been tasked with writing a children’s story book. To encourage creative thinking through sensory learning, they spent some time with the Scrummies boys running, jumping, swinging and even having water fights. By getting to know the younger boys, the Grade 9s will be more equipped to write a book that the boys will enjoy.
Once their books are complete, the groups will return to Scrummies to read their books with the boys.
