schoolsthatrockThe Saints Basketball community had a good start to the year against Northwood, winning 8 out of 11 matches. One of the most exciting games was the U15B which ended 18-18 after full time and the score line remained the same after double extra time. It was decided to take the game to a free throw sudden death and Zolani Jama stepped up to win it for his team, 19-18!
The 1st Team played in front of a good crowd and executed their game plan very accurately for an early season encounter. During a superb 10 minute spell leading into half time the Saints put 21 points on the board to lead 48-15 at the change. The pressure remained on the visitors throughout the third and fourth quarter and with very little time left on the clock and the scoreboard reading 99-31, the officials agreed to end proceedings and the players shook hands. A strong performance from the Saints and we thank Northwood for the fixtures.
