My name is Louise Basson. I am in Milner Grade 12. I started at St Andrew’s at Petra’s Preschool. My fondest memory at St Andrew’s is back in grade 6 when my friend and I created a band. We would host mini performances at break. As weird as it was looking back, it was so much fun creating parodies and jamming with all our friends. St Andrew’s has taught me to just take part in things. Whether it’s participating in the inter-house sports (even if you’re terrible at it) or cheering extra enthusiastically. If you try have fun with your friends with whatever you’re doing – life becomes so much lighter. My words of advice to the younger girls at St Andrew’s would be: You’ve heard it 1000 times and I’m going to say it again – appreciate it while you can because before you know it, it’s over. This time in high school goes by so ridiculously quickly, so don’t wait for the next day or week or month or even year to do something. Take every opportunity that’s handed to you and Just Do It . After leaving St Andrew’s, I plan to study either architecture/graphic design (because I want to create) or environmental sciences (save the earth ya know).
