Westville Boys’ High School proudly congratulates Keylan Govender (Grade 9 GOA) on his remarkable achievements in karate.
Keylan, who trains under the SKISA South African Karate Association led by Renshi Brando Pillay, showcased his talent and dedication on the national stage. He was selected to represent KwaZulu-Natal at the KSA Championship held from 20–22 March 2026, where he earned his KZN colours and secured a medal through an outstanding performance.
Continuing his success, Keylan competed in the Kanazawa Cup Tournament on 25 April 2026 at the Tongaat Sports Centre. His commitment and excellence were further recognized when he was invited to a prestigious gala awards evening, where he received the coveted High Flyer Trophy.
These accomplishments highlight Keylan’s perseverance, discipline, and passion for karate. His journey is an inspiration to his peers and a proud moment for Westville Boys’ High School.
