schoolsthatrockSA Regional Swimming Championship. Northern Cape High School, Kimberley, swimmers, Chloe Ehlers and Vasco Theron ended the season on a high note. Chloe and Vasco excelled during the South African Regional Swimming Championship. The championship was held at Kings Park in Durban from 30 March until 3 April.
A total of 35 teams from across South Africa as well as Namibia and Zimbabwe participated in the annual SA Regional Swimming Championship national event.
Chloe Ehlers (17) and Vasco Theron (15) did their province, club and school proud after bringing home a total of five medals. After five days of intense competition both swimmers qualified for the finals in their respective events, which consists of the top 8 swimmers per event.
Chloe won two bronze medals and a silver medal and Vasco won two bronze medals. They both improved on their personal best times as well.
