SA Modern Pentathlon. A Star from Eunice Emerges.
Eunice High School’s own Zoe Morgado, just 13 years old, proudly represented the South African Girls’ team at the prestigious 2025 UIPM U17 Modern Pentathlon World Championships, hosted at Reddam House, Helderfontein, from 17–20 July.
Despite competing against seasoned athletes—many older than her—Zoe delivered a standout performance, improving every one of her qualifying round times in the final. Her unwavering commitment and strategic finesse proved instrumental in helping South Africa secure an impressive team silver medal, competing against 14 nations in the Girls’ category.
Girls’ Team Medal Results:
- Gold – Egypt
- Silver – South Africa
- Bronze – Hungary
Zoe finished 26th overall in the fiercely competitive Women’s U17 division. That ranking, at just 13 years old, speaks volumes about her talent, discipline, and resolve. Competing at an international level, across five demanding disciplines, Zoe exemplified everything that defines a true South African athlete: grit, grace, and greatness.
🇿🇦 Representing her country is more than just wearing the flag—it’s about rising to the challenge. Zoe did just that, and more.
Congratulations, Zoe! You’re not just a rising star—you’re an inspiration. We celebrate you today, and can’t wait to see where your journey leads next. ✨
