Roof of Africa 2024. The Roof of Africa is the oldest and arguably toughest hard enduro event globally. Spanning 250 to 350km across three days, this race is not for the faint-hearted, through the rugged but beautiful terrain of Lesotho.
Maritzburg College have a number of College boys taking part at the grueling Roof of Africa 2024 and were thrilled to see 4th former Damon Garrell finish in the lead in the Silver Class after Day 1, while Josh Slevin (also in 4th Form) was lying 3rd in the Bronze Class at the end of the first day.
Four boys of the College completed the race with excellent results. Well done to the boys on their courage and determination!
Results:
- Damon Garrell – 1st Silver class
- Luke Walker – 3rd – Gold class
- Daniel Peckham – 17th Gold class
- Josh Slevin – 153rd Bronze class
