Pietermaritzburg Girl’s High School learners recently visited W.A. Lewitt Primary School in Northdale for the handover of Green Desks which is part of the Wildlands Sustainable Schools Programme. The program is made possible by Nedbank.
Last year the school collected over 15 000kgs of recycling and, instead of getting a rebate, decided to donate green desks to a school in need of desks. The desks are made from materials that were collected from our recycling drive last year. W.A. Lweitt was the recipient of these desks.
At the handover are on the photo above (front, from left) Laika Ebrahim, Snethemba Shabinga, Cherese Naidoo and Lethokuhle Mncube with (back, from left) Jaél McKenzie (vice chairperson of the GHS recycling society) and Shanice Easthorpe (chairperson of the GHS recycling society).
