Pianists. Union High School from Graaff Reinet was very fortunate to have many talented senior pianists participating in this year’s Karoo #Eisteddfod. All of them did very well and Union would like to congratulate the following learners on their excellent results:
𝗞𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹𝗼 𝗞𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝘀𝗶 entered two pieces, 𝘓𝘢 𝘝𝘢𝘭𝘴𝘦 𝘥’𝘈𝘮𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘦 by Yann Tiersen and the 𝘚𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘩 𝘊𝘢𝘣𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘳𝘳𝘰, for which he received 70% and 84% respectively.
𝗘𝗿𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝘁 entered four pieces, 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘙𝘦𝘦𝘧 𝘕𝘰.5 from ‘In Southern Seas’ by W Carrol (86%), 𝘉𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘊, 𝘞𝘰𝘖 54, by L van Beethoven (84%), 𝘈 𝘒𝘸𝘦𝘭𝘢 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘊𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘭𝘪𝘯 by R Michael (81%) and 𝘔𝘰𝘯𝘰𝘤𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘕𝘰. 2 by B Liu Michael (80%).
𝗩𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗰𝗘𝘄𝗮𝗻 entered two pieces, 𝘈𝘮𝘦𝘯 (𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭) and 𝘓𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘎𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘴 𝘙𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳, for which she received 70% and 86% respectively.
𝗝𝗼𝘆 𝗠𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 was awarded an exceptional 95% for her entry, 𝘔𝘢𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘧 𝘙𝘢𝘨 by S Joplin.
𝗢𝘄𝗲𝘁𝗵𝘂 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗶 was awarded 70% for her entry 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘗𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 by H Mancini.
𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝗢𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗳𝘀𝗲𝗻 entered two pieces, 𝘍𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘥 by A Walker and 𝘙𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘍𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘠𝘰𝘶 by Yiruma for which she received 84% and 86% respectively.
𝗖𝗵𝗹𝗼𝗲 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘀 (absent on photo) entered 𝘗𝘪𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘣𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘯 by J Radnich and was rewarded with a splendid 96%.
𝗝𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗲 𝗝𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗵𝗮 (absent on photo) entered 𝘚𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘢 𝘪𝘯 𝘉 𝘔𝘪𝘯𝘰𝘳, 𝘒.377 by D Scarlatti and received 86% for her efforts.
