Curro Holdings, South Africa’s leading independent education provider, has announced the Independent Examinations Board (IEB) matric results for the Class of 2025, reaffirming the Group’s commitment to delivering quality education across its diverse schooling models.
Academic Excellence at Scale
The 2025 IEB examinations showcased remarkable achievement from Curro learners:
- 2,694 candidates achieved an overall pass rate of 99.40%.
- 72.6% attained an average of 60% or higher.
- 11.06% achieved an A average.
Strong performances were recorded in key gateway subjects such as Mathematics, Physical Sciences, and English, ensuring learners are well-prepared for a wide range of tertiary study and career opportunities. Several Curro schools also write the National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations, with results scheduled for release on 13 January 2026.

- 303 Learners (11.25%) achieved an A average.
- 22 Learners were recognised on the IEB Outstanding Achievement list, placing in the top 5% across six or more subjects, including Life Orientation.
- 161 Subject placements were celebrated in the IEB Top 1% category across Curro schools.
These accolades highlight the depth of talent and dedication across the Group.
