Howick High School, KZN, was honoured to host the prestigious Midlands High Schools Rugby Capping Ceremony on 3 July 2025. It is a proud moment for the school and the broader Midlands rugby community.
The event celebrated the selection of top regional talent for the U19 Reitz Rugby Tournament, taking place from 4 to 8 July. Among those selected were three standout Howick High athletes. Their dedication and leadership on and off the field have earned them a place on the Midlands squad.
Representing Midlands Rugby with pride are:
- Ezra Robertson – Headboy and Captain of the 1st XV, a dynamic leader known for his strategic play and unwavering commitment.
- Christopher Jacob – Prefect and Vice Captain of the 1st XV. His discipline and tenacity have made him a cornerstone of the team.
- Logan Reece – A rising star already making waves at the VKB Rugby Week in Reitz, showcasing his talent on a national stage.
These young men exemplify the spirit of Howick High — excellence, resilience, and sportsmanship. Their selection is not only a personal achievement. It is also a testament to the strength of the school’s rugby program and the support of its dedicated coaching staff.
As the Midlands team prepares to take on the best at Reitz, the entire Howick High community stands behind Ezra, Christopher, and Logan with immense pride.
