Hy is sedert 2005 verbonde aan Hoërskool Ermelo. Marius het homself onderskei in terme van digitale vaardighede waaroor ‘n individu moet beskik in die realisering van sy potensiaal. Hy het sy BEd.Honneurs in 2017 afgehandel. In 2018 het hy begin met die eerste aanlyn MEd in Opvoedkunde aan die Universiteit van Johannesburg.
Marius gradueer in die MEd met die verhandeling: “How students in an online MEd programme transfer their learning to their digital practices “. Marius het hom as spesialis in Informasie en Kommunikasie Tegnologie bekwaam. Sy doelwit is om leerders en personeel hierin te bemagtig.
Dit is ’n besondere prestasie en is ‘n bewys van harde werk en opoffering.
Marius Smit. Ermelo High School is particularly proud of Mr Marius Smit who recently completed his Master’s degree.
He has been affiliated with Ermelo High School since 2005. Marius distinguished himself in terms of digital skills that an individual must possess in realising his potential. He completed his BEd.Honours in 2017. In 2018, he also started with the first online MEd in Education at the University of Johannesburg.
Marius graduated in the MEd with the dissertation: “How students in an online MEd programme transfer their learning to their digital practices”. Marius also qualified as a specialist in Information and Communication Technology. His aim is to also empower learners and staff in this regard.
This is a remarkable achievement and is a testament to hard work and sacrifice.
