Lifesaving World Championships. During the school holidays, Pearson High School learner, Keira van Heerden had a national team lifesaving training camp and capping ceremony for the SA National Team. Keira will be representing South Africa at the 2024 Lifesaving World Championships. It takes place from 20 August – 8 September on the Gold Coast, Australia.
Keira is one of the six girls in the Junior Female team (18 and u) representing South Africa in the pool and surf lifesaving events.
Keira has also been nominated by Lifesaving South African for the Junior Female Athlete of the Year for 2024 award.
