Landbouleerders. Hoërskool Ermelo se graad 10-landbouleerders het Woensdag, 17 Mei, die JGS Foods se fabriek besoek. Die Erries is ontvang deur Johan Grobler (Mielies), Jaco Grobler en Charmain Grobler. JGS Foods se gashere het die leerders deur die vervaardigingsproses van die pap, Usuthe (Zulu-vertaling vir “versadig”), geneem.
Die Erries is bevoorreg om CFAM se masjinerie in aksie te kon sien. CFAM is deur Prof LJ Grobler begin en gebou.
Meneer Jaco Grobler het die landbouleerders vertel hoe hy onthou dat die stuk grond waarop die fabriek tans staan, jare gelede deur osse geploeg is. Die besoek was ‘n leersame ervaring vir die Erries.
Agricultural learners. On Wednesday, 17 May, Ermelo High School’s Grade 10 agricultural learners visited the JGS Foods’ factory. The Erries were received by Johan Grobler (Maize), Jaco Grobler and also Charmain Grobler. JGS Foods’ hosts also took the learners through the manufacturing process of the porridge, Usuthe (Zulu translation for “saturated”).
The Erries are also privileged to have seen CFAM’s machinery in action. CFAM was started and built by Prof LJ Grobler.
Mr Jaco Grobler also told the agricultural learners how he remembers that the piece of land on which the factory currently stands was ploughed by oxen years ago. The visit also was an instructive experience for the Erries.
