schoolsthatrock331 Learners participated in Merensky High School’s traditional Fun-Run on 25 January. A distance of 3,8km was covered. The route started at the school’s main gate, all the way to the game reserve and back.
The juniors did well with Janco Coetzee and Michelle Brummer and Bercha Venter ending first. Francois Notnagel and Sancha van Niekerk lead the senior pack all the way to the finish line.
Runners up junior boys were Jaco van Staden and Matt Myburg. In the junior girls section Leoné Slabbert came second. Seniors, Juan-Jacques Moller with Simoné van den Bergh (second) and Samuel Modiba with Jenelle de Jonge (third) showed true Plasie spirit.
The new, dynamic grade 8 Plasies went all out with a super 79% attendance.
Afterwards rotten tomatoes went flying when participants celebrated the Plasie version of “La Tomatina”.
