Glenwood vs Clifton – Round 1

Glenwood High School In Durban took on Clifton College in Round 1 of the Inaugural T20 Big Bash. An excellent initiative, started by the so called “Big 8” Durban Schools, with is a T20 format with boys wearing coloured clothing, using Pink Cricket ball and a “Power-Play Over” where the runs scored are doubled.

The added colour and excitement resulted in a nail biting match between the two schools, with the difference being Clifton’s excellent use of their Power-Play over. Clifton edging out the home side to win by 4 wickets.

Fantastic to see two young exciting teams using this platform to express themselves and play more competitive cricket.

Clifton 125-6 after 18.4 Overs

  2. Veitch 24

Clifton won by 4 wickets
