During July 2018, five learners from Kimberley Boys’ High School were invited to participate in an inter-school debate hosted by SAPS in Kimberley on the influence of crime on the youth. Two of our boys, under the guidance of Mr van Niekerk, were chosen to participate at station level and both learners were appointed Junior Police Commanders on Station Commissioner level.
Tendaishe Mhuriro was selected as Junior Support Commander and Saaligh Fredericks was selected as Junior Detective Commander of the Kimberley SAPS station. They will participate in the cluster level of the project on the 27th of July. The topics will be “The influences on juveniles to commit crime”, Human trafficking” and “How gangsterism affects the youth”.
Terrific achievement from Tendai and Saaligh!
