Jaru Sports Academy. What a weekend for Kalahari High School, Kuruman, junior cricket players! Kala Juniors participated in the annual Jaru Sports Academy u/15 Cricket Tournament in Rustenburg.

The boys played five 30 over games. The results were as follows:

Pool games:

Kalahari beat Rustenburg High Inv XI with 98 runs
Kalahari beat Heidelberg Volkskool with 9 wickets
They also beat Bergsig High School by 105 runs

Semi-final:

Kalahari beat Hoërskool Transvalia with 64 runs

Final:

Kalahari beat Waterkloof High School (U14A) with 2 wickets.

There were some excellent individual performances by kalahari High School during the Jaru Sports Academy, but in the end, it took a big team effort to beat one of the best cricket schools in South Africa in a tense final. Special mention needs to go to Janko Noeth for scoring 205 runs and taking 9 wickets during the tournament!

Well done boys! Kalahari High School is extremely proud of your achievement in what is probably one of the biggest victories by any Kalahari team ever on a cricket field.
