The Cape Town Premier Hockey League – CPL is a Franchise Hockey Tournament for Youth Hockey players based in the Western Cape. Tournament will be hosted at Western Province Cricket Club.
This event is a Western Province Hockey and South African Hockey Association sanctioned event.
The exact dates of this event have not been finalized yet as official approvial is still needed from the Department of Sport in the Western Cape. But If it does take place it will be in late October and Covid-19 Protocols of screenings and mask wearing will be in place.
Tournament format still to be finalized but all teams will play 5 Matches.
This event is devided into three sections and contains an Under 14 (Grade 7 and 8 Students) Under 16 (Grade 8, 9 or 10 Students) and Under 18 section (Grade 10 , 11 or matric students). Both Boys and Girls will participate.
Squads have already been selected via a Facebook live draft on Saturday 26 September.
We will bring you the full fixtues once the event has been confirmed.
