Hockey: Winelands Cup. Rhenish Girls’ High School – Hockey Success.
Rhenish Girls’ High School’s U16B and U14B hockey teams recently competed in the prestigious Winelands Cup, facing strong opposition from across the region. Both teams displayed exceptional teamwork, resilience, and school spirit throughout the tournament.
U14B Team
Despite tough opening matches against A-teams, the U14Bs showed remarkable determination. They ended their campaign on a high with a thrilling penalty shootout victory over Stellenberg, securing 5th place in the Plate Division.
U16B Team
The U16Bs delivered an outstanding performance, recording four consecutive victories to reach the final. In a hard-fought match against Paarl Gim, they claimed Silver Medals, a superb achievement that reflects their skill and perseverance.
Individual Honours
A special congratulations to Emma Wilcock and Kyli de Waal, who finished as the Top Goal Scorers of the tournament – a remarkable accomplishment that highlights their talent and consistency.
