schoolsthatrockHilton College Culture. “My name is Vhuthihi Siwada and I’m the head of Hilton College Culture for 2023. I’m passionate about an appreciation for culture. It’s something that has grown in me since I joined the Drakensberg Boys Choir School in grade 6.
When I joined Hilton College in grade 10, my interest in playing the saxophone began. This year, I aim to inspire in the boys an appreciation for culture, especially in those who don’t take an interest in art, music or drama. I believe my role is to set a great example and in doing so, set the right tone. I hope to make an impression on the boys of Hilton by modelling core values such as respect, which young men should have.
I also want to impress upon them this message: ‘You are the conductor of your own choir’ and whatever you do, do it to the best of your ability.”
