Nikalau Volsteedt (u/12), from Hendrik Louw Primary School, has over the past two months participated in the four race MTB WP Cross Country series in Hermanus, Wellington, Hopefield and Drakenstein. During the races (15-25km), points are accumulated towards the series total where Nikalau finished 4th overall in her age category. The Hopefield race also counted as the Western Cape Championships, where Nikalau finished 5th, competing against a strong field, over a tough 25 km.
