Die braaivleis- en vreugdevure brand hoog by Leith-Huis se splinternuwe lapa!

‘Mag die vreugdevure altyd hoog brand by Leith-Huis Lapa vir die huidige en toekomstige Leith-Huis seuns!’

Volgens Tania Smith (projekkoördineerder) was hierdie projek ‘n jarelange droom van mnr Dries van der Wal. Die Van den Berg koshuisouers het ook tydens verkede jaar se vergadering aan haar genoem dat hulle hierdie droom deel.

Dit was boonop die ideale projek vir ‘n nalatenskap vanaf die 2021-jaargroep en net daar is die bal aan die rol gesit!

At the first parents meeting of 2021, the idea was introduced to the parents. From the beginning it was clear that the funds for the project would have to be covered by sponsors.

With the buy-in from all the parents, the building of the lapa started just before the March holiday and the lapa was completed during the June holiday.

‘n Groot persentasie van die fondse vir die lapa is deur die koshuisouers van Leith-Huis ingesamel, waarna die koshuisouers van Bill- en Murray-Huis ook genader is. Grey Reünie het ingetree en ‘n groot bydrae gemaak. Die res van die kostes is deur borge, asook oud-Grey ouers gedek.
