Chairman of the Old Boys Association, Graham Oberholzer has handed over the reins to Erik Aissing.  Graham was Chairman of the Old Boys’ Association from 2007- 2018.
Graham is a born and bred Durban boy, growing up on the Bluff where he was Head Prefect and Dux at Brighton Beach Senior Primary in 1980. He continued his leadership skills at Glenwood being the Head Prefect in 1985. He also played 1st Rugby XV and 1st Cricket XI. He graduated from the University of Cape Town with a BCom Accounts and Economics.
Fresh out of university he worked for Chemspec and, after 4 years he went on to become a Financial Director at Merlog Foods from 1998 – 2014. Currently he is the Managing Director at Glodina, a division of KAP Homeware (Pty) Ltd.
Graham is married and has one daughter.
The newly appointed Chairman of the Old Boys’ Association is no stranger to Glenwood. He grew up in the Glenwood area where he was Dux at Penzance Primary. In 1993 he was Head Prefect at Glenwood and very active on the sports field playing 1st Rugby XV (Captain), 1st Cricket XI (Captain), 1st Soccer XI, 1st Softball Team and the Athletics A Team.
He went on to do a BCom Marketing and Law at UKZN. After graduating he worked at Unilever for 4 years and spent some time at Unilever Holland. Thereafter he worked for the Spar Group, then Chemspec Paint. He went on to become the Marketing Director at Dunlop Tyres. Currently he is the Sales Director at SA Natural Products.
Erik is married with 3 children of which the oldest will be at Glenwood next year.
In his free time he plays Rugby and has played over 100 games for Collegians 1st Rugby XV. He also played 1st Division Club Cricket for Durban Varsity. He still enjoys social rugby and he has played numerous games for SA Legends. He enjoys reading, spending time with family, playing golf and exercising.
