On Wednesday the 9th May 2018, the Treverton 1st XV travelled to Weston for our annual rugby fixture. The game was played at a frantic pace with Weston running the ball from everywhere. Treverton defended superbly held the ball up twice over our own try line. The Treverton boys stuck to our game plan and at half-time had converted two penalties via Andre de Jager to give Treverton a 6 – 0 lead. The second half was just as frantic and Treverton managed to convert two more penalties to take the lead to 12 – 0. Weston continued their running game and were held up over the Treverton try line once again. In the final minutes of the game, Treverton were able to turn the ball over and sent Thato Phakoe away on the right wing to score in the corner. This gave Treverton a 17 – 0 lead which they held onto until the final whistle. The first team boys must be complimented on keeping to their game and their composure during a tough game of rugby.
