English Olympiad – Swartland High School learners perform

English Olympiad. Two learners from Swartland High School, Malmesbury, Jani Steyn and Uné Beneke entered for the National English Olympiad.

There were 795 entries nationally for English Home Language and 463 for First Additional Language. Jani Steyn, Grade 11, received a gold award and finished under the Top 100. She achieved the 76th position for English Home Language.

Uné Beneke, Grade 12, finished under the Top 20 for English First Additional Language.
