Curro Durbanville Staff Concert – This Way to the Stage

Curro Durbanville Staff Concert. The year 2023 marks 25 years for Curro Durbanville. The festivities kicked off with a staff concert at the Curro Durbanville Primary School Campus. On 15 and 16 February, Curro Durbanville staff took over the stage. They presented their concert, This Way to the Stage.

It was an outstanding success, providing the audience with some much-needed laughter and an escape from reality. The concert was also a collaboration involving all three campuses, Castle, Primary and High school. It resulted in new connections and friendships being formed. The acts were diverse and ensured that all who watched them, had their own favourite.

The audience was also captivated by a guitar-playing “fairy godmother” with a flair for the dramatic, some “beautiful” fairies, dancing cheerleaders, amazing musicians, and vocalists. The golden oldies of Huis Herfsblaar were not to be left out. They also provided the audience with some much-needed comic relief. The gym fanatics, some bobble-headed “Wednesday” wannabees, and some tummy dancers who rocked out to Mumbo #5 wowed the audience with their amazing dance moves. A synchronized swimming team, a very fierce substitute teacher, and some individuals with far too much time on their hands also ensured that the audience was on the edge of their seats! The Grade R and Castle staff were not be left out. They also took over with their amazing colour blob and Minions dance. It was so appropriate for all their little angels.

The event was one that will obviously not be easily forgotten!
