Cricket SA Schools T20.The Grey College 1st XI cricket team was in Potchefstroom where they participated in the Regional finals of Cricket SA Schools T20 competition.
During the pool matches they defeated Kalahari High School by 4 wickets and Upington High School by 9 wickets. In the final game they beat Potchefstroom Gimnasium by 3 wickets. In this match there were good performances by Daniel Hattingh who made 56 runs off 26 balls and Christian Kind who scored 53 runs off 45 balls.
In the semi-final the 1st Team again locked horns against Kalahari High School. The opposition was, however, blown away hy a superb bowling spell by Grey College’ captain, Henru de Wet. He recorded the amazing bowling figures of 5 wickets for only 2 runs! Grey College chased the target of 59 runs down in 8.1 overs to win by 7 wickets.
The national finals wil take part in March.
