Cricket Capping Ceremony – St Charles College Prep 1st XI

Cricket Capping Ceremony. On Thursday afternoon, 7 October, St Charles College, Pietermaritzburg, held a very special cricket capping ceremony for their Prep 1^st XI. For both players and coaches alike, it was a privilege to be a part of.

Gathering in the Oval changerooms, each of the players sat next to a Senior School 1^st XI player. The Senior School 1^st XI coach, Mr Murray Cole-Edwardes, and his Captain, Hayden Raw, both gave inspiring speeches to the boys before presenting them their caps and shirts. St Charles’ Prep 1^st team captain, Thandolwethu Zama was then asked to hang the blue blazer up in the changerooms – a moment he will surely remember for the rest of his life.
