For the second year, the Grade 4 boys at St Charles College took on an outreach project whereby the boys were able to give and share with those less fortunate than themselves. This year we put together 27 Christmas Boxes for Angels’ Care Centre in Howick, who are extremely grateful to have our boys support their needs this Christmas. Angels’ Care Centre is a non-profit organisation established to address the needs of underprivileged children from informal settlements in the village of Howick.
They provide quality Pre-School education, aftercare facilities, a feeding program as well as health care and community outreach programs.  The boys were encouraged to make sacrifices themselves in order to enhance the learning process, ideally by sacrificing a little tuck-shop money or pocket money in order for them to feel the true satisfaction of ‘giving’ this Christmas. – Mrs Philippa Nipper (Grade 4 teacher)
