schoolsthatrockGlenwood High School, Durban, 1st Team Sevens went to participate in the Champions of Champions Sevens Tournament held at Camp Discovery outside Pretoria.
After heavy thunderstorms all matches was cancelled on Friday afternoon. This meant we had to play all our matches on Saturday.
Glenwood played the following teams:
Glenwood vs Montana:
Was a sad start to our tournament losing our first match.
Glenwood lost 19-24.
Try Scores: Conan Le Fleur x2 and Werner Coetzee.
Conversions: Conan Le Fleur and Werner Coetzee.
Glenwood vs Diamantveld:
Slow start to the match but managed to pull it together to play good Sevens Rugby.
Glenwood beat them 28-5.
Try Scores: Marthino v Wyk, Dylan Pretorius, Runako Brynhardt and Thabiso Mdletshe.
Conversions: Marthino v Wyk, Dylan Pretorius, Rynhardt Jonker and Thabiso Mdletshe.
Glenwood then went into the Cup Quarter-Final.
Glenwood vs Paul Roos:
A winning try was disallowed for us and Paul Roos managed to score in the final seconds to win.
Glenwood lost 14-19.

This result meant that we had to play in the Semi-Final of the Plate Competition.
Glenwood vs Westville:
A good display of Sevens Rugby saw Glenwood out muscle Westville.
Glenwood beat them 38-19.

The Plate Finals.
Glenwood vs Rustenburg:
Another great display by the players who was motivated by the fact that it was their final match for the year.
Glenwood beat them 33-14.
