Brackenfell High School is proud to announce that Philip Loubser and Anthony Oosthuizen represented their school at the UCT Mathematics Olympiad 2019. Philip and Anthony were amongst the top 30 grade 9 learners that were chosen out of hundreds of other learners from various schools who also participated in the Mathematics Olympiad.
Because of their remarkable achievement, they were both invited to write the UCT Maths Challenge in May, along with the top learners in the pairs competition. Philip went through to the third and final national round in the UCT Mathematics Olympiad.
Philip achieved a silver certificate and finished in 7th place in the UCT Mathematics Olympiad 2019.
