Speech Night 2023. The highlight of the St Charles College calendar has always been their annual Speech Night. As with each year, the Samukele Khumalo Arena was completely transformed into a beautiful venue for Speech Night 2023 . It was fit for an evening celebrating all that the St Charles College community, and in particular the boys, have achieved over the past year.

St Charles Matric Class of 2023 also took pride of place in front of the stage. They were surrounded by the Saints community, savouring their final formal function in their schooling careers. One of the highlights of the evening was the speech given by 2023 Head Boy, Luke Hubble. Seeing the College through the eyes of the Head Boy is also an insightful experience. It is also wonderful to hear of the memories he will cherish of his years at
St Charles College.

The announcement of the 2024 prefect body was also one of the most anticipated items on the programme. Congratulations to all those who were selected to be Prefects and Council Leaders. The top five selected to represent the College as Head Boy and Deputies are Nicholas Oldfield (Head Boy), Nathan Raubenheimer, Christopher Anderssen, Jesse Mwesigwa and Stefan Veldsman. The evening concluded with a rousing rendition of the College’s school song that could also be heard well beyond the walls of the Indoor Centre.
