schoolsthatrockSALA Public Speaking. On Tuesday, 25 April, the SALA Public Speaking competition took place at Ermelo High School. The SALA Public Speaking competition is an English public speaking competition. There are different categories and learners can participate in Home Language or First Additional Language. The learners participated in the first round, which was a video recording of them giving their speeches. For some of these learners this was the first time participating in a public speaking competition and for others it was their fist time doing so in English.
Siyamthanda Nkambule, Lungile Ntuli, Madri van Niekerk, Abigail Ekermans, Ina Trytsman, Ayanda Khumalo, Katelyn Potgieter, Sihle Nkosi, Zanéke Ludick and Talita Janse van Rensburg then participated in the second round that took place on 29 July at Kragbron Primary School in Witbank. Congratulations to these learners for making EHS proud.
The final round will take place on 21 October at Kragbron Primary School and the Erries wish Siyamthanda Nkambule, Madri van Niekerk, Talita Janse van Rensburg and Zanéke Ludick all the best for the last round!
