Fichie Cricket. Fichardt Park High School’s first cricket team played against Jim Fouché High School’s first team. Fichie cricket won the match by nine runs and is hitting the first game of the cricket season for a six!
Fichardtpark batted first, scoring 153/7 against JF’s 144/4 in 20 innings.
Best batsmen: Ulrich Campher scored 83 runs, not out. Willie Volschenk scored 27 runs. These two players score a 93-run partnership.
Best bowlers: Eben Botha conceded only 21 runs and took two wickets in just four innings. He also had the wickets splashed into pieces with a beautiful piece of fielding as he ran out his opponent from the boundary rope! Michael Cruywagen conceded only 21 runs and took one wicket in four innings.
