Stellenbosch Spring Fair – Paul Roos Gymnasium brings Flair

Stellenbosch Spring Fair. A Spring Fair, an Art garden, a High tea, Nature-inspired workshops and an Entertaining talk on Pilgrimage and mental health.

The month of October is known as one of the most beautiful months in Stellenbosch. Flowers are in bloom, the air is crisp, the weather is fine and everyone is enthusiastic about the prospect of a bright and sunny summer and Festive Season. It is also the month in which Visit Stellenbosch hosts Garden Town – a celebration of some of the town’s and surrounding communities’ most beautiful public and private gardens. A true feast for the senses.

Paul Roos Gymnasium decided to join the festivities by contributing its own special programme towards this annual event. Paul Roos Gymnasium and its learners are proud members of the Stellenbosch community. PRG feels a sense of responsibility towards it and is therefore excited to open its gates to all residents and visitors who want to experience the magic of Stellenbosch during the month of October.

One-day market catering

PRG is proud to announce the AFGRI Stellenbosch Spring Fair. It is a one-day market catering for those with a love of and interest in delicacies within the culinary, wine and craft drink sectors; decorative art, furniture, beautiful home and garden necessities and must-haves. This will take place at the Markötter Sports Complex on 22 October 2022. Visitors can also look forward to relaxing moments. This happens whilst enjoying top-class wines from the Paul Roos Wine Emporium, food prepared by local restaurateurs, deli owners and popular-by-demand food truck chefs.

Our wines are produced by winemakers from within the Paul Roos community (old boys and parents alike). Patrons can look forward to delicious alcoholic and non-alcoholic food-and-drink pairings. It takes place at one of the four allocated chill zones on the day. The C2M Kiddies Garden (for children under the age of 12) will boast with an array of entertaining activities. Included is a book-nook and customized child-friendly stalls, nice-to-have’s and scrumptious treats.

Besides the AFGRI Stellenbosch Spring Fair, Paul Roos is working closely with IS Art Gallery in presenting visitors to Garden Town with the ABSA-PRG Art Garden and Coffee Shop. The works of local sculptors, installation and land artists will be exhibited. It happens in the carefully curated space, at the Markötter Sports Complex. The Rupert Museum is supporting a youth outreach art programme.
