schoolsthatrockBloemfontein Children’s Choir. The Bloemfontein Children’s Choir has embarked on a new and exciting road since 2020. The choir is launching its new formal uniform with the release of a new music video “Cantate Domino” (Sing to the Lord).
With the new and modern look of the choir, the emphasis is placed on moving in a new direction. “Our children are very excited about the new uniform as it allows for a modern and stylish look but also allows for movement,” says Werner Stander, Director of Music.
Music included in the new repertoire ranges from secular, sacred music to traditional South African music.
The video, “Cantate Domino” was filmed at the Anglican Cathedral of St Andrew and St Michael, Bloemfontein.
Currently, the choir consists of 92 choristers between the ages of 9 and 17 years old.
