Schools That Rock asked a few questions to Jordyn Ehmke, Head Girl of Krugersdorp High School.
Question: What do you look forward to most when the 2021 school year starts? This year, being in matric, I am fortunate enough to be going back to school full time, so I am looking very forward to that. Although the task of Head Girl is stressful and demanding, I have never been so excited for something and cannot wait to start my journey in leading Krugersdorp High.
Question: Are there any changes or adjustments you would like to see happen at your school? I would like for our school to become a lot more involved in our surrounding community and I would like for us to spread awareness and become more educated with the challenges that our country and the world faces.
Question: If you had to make a statement to convince someone that your school is the right choice, what would that statement be? Krugersdorp High School is not only a place to learn and participate in extracurricular activities, but it is a School that will help, guide and motivate you to become the person you want to be and to achieve what you want to achieve.
Question: Which sport activity offered at your school is your favourite? Hockey and Waterpolo.
Question: Which career choices are you considering after school? I want to enter the Forensics field, towards the forensic investigation field. Perhaps even towards the detective field.
Question: Which university do you want to attend next year? I am not looking at a specific university but I am working towards studying further in the USA.
Question: Do you have a message for your fellow pupils for 2021? No matter the obstacles are thrown at you or the circumstances that you face, there is always a way to make things work and achieve your goals. I think in the past year, we have all learnt that there definitely is not only one way to do something and that if you really want something there is definitely a way to get it. Always work toward your goals and work for your future.
