Two learners from Northern Cape High, Rethablel Sindi (grade 11) and Thatto Tshipo (grade 12) took part in the national round of the South African Literacy Association (SALA) Public Speaking Competition. This competition took place on 19 October in eMalahleni at the Kragbron Primary School. Rethabile achieved 1st position in SA and Thatto came 2nd. There were 28 participants in the grade 11 division and 23 in the grade 12 division.
