schoolsthatrockSING IN HARMONIE, is currently the biggest School Choir competition in South Africa, being measured against TV exposure, fabulous prizes, as well as the number of entries. The episodes are broadcast on KykNet Music channel 146.
The competition runs throughout the year, providing an exciting opportunity to all students and their schools to participate on a National level, thereby gaining exposure and recognition individually as well as for the school they represent.
The prestigious Gauteng Regional competition took place in the Lyric Theatre at Gold Reef City.
Maragon Ruimsig participated for the first time which was an incredibly exciting experience. The entire Primary School participated in the welcome, introduction and promotional insert.
The Senior choir performed on Saturday 4 May with great pride!
The Junior choir performed on Tuesday 7 May; they were selected for the Sing in Harmonie finals for the Gauteng Region. This will take place on 12 October.
The success of both choirs is largely due to the unwavering support of our parents, the dedication of our choir members, conductors and accompanists. We also extend a heartfelt “thank you” to our Principal, Mrs Gillian Steyn, our executive members and staff too. Their continual encouragement and support throughout the process has been truly phenomenal.
