PRG, Stellenbosch, 1st XV Coach Marinus Pretorius speaks about the achievements and philosophy behind the selection of the PRG 1st XV players to the WP Craven Week teams.
‘The 1st XV of PRG has thus far had a splendid season and the players selected for the Craven Week are testament to that. A great percentage of the first team were in the PRG 1st XV in 2017 and therefore gained invaluable experience which has led them to use their experience this season even more. Without singling players out we are lucky to have a great captain in JJ Kotze as his led this team with aplomb but it must be mentioned that there are many leaders in this group’.
‘PRG strives to development its players holistically and wants to produce good young men that love to play rugby whilst not forgetting their roots and who has helped them along the way. We know that there are still many challenges ahead for us this season but will approach it one game at a time and see where it takes us’.
