On 15 January, Camps Bay Primary School’s Preparatory Campus welcomed it’s latest intake a new learners.

Last year, the development of the new Reception Grade Campus across the road from the current Grade 1 and Grade 2 Campus in The Drive, Camps Bay, was completed. This development includes three new Reception Grade class rooms, a hall for the entire Preparatory Campus’ use, as well as a field and play areas.

There was great excitement on the first day of school as the Reception Grade teachers welcomed their new learners into the brand new classrooms and premises. The new Reception Grade Campus will be officially opened by MEC for Education, Minister Debbie Schäfer on Monday, 27 January 2020.

In addition, across the road at the Grade 1 and Grade 2 campus, there were many very excited Grade 1s dressed in their school uniform for the first time!

A team from Expresso – the morning show on SABC3, was at the Grade 1 and Grade 2 Campus to chat to moms and dads of new Grade 1 pupils.
