World Book Day.
World Book Day at the Scrummies, the Pre‑Primary School at St Charles College, truly brought the magic of storytelling to life. From a clever little ladybird saving her farmyard friends, to a kind‑hearted witch who always finds room on her broom, our boys stepped into the enchanting world of Julia Donaldson with imagination and flair.
The creativity and effort of both the boys and their parents were a delight to witness—costumes, characters, and stories came alive in ways that celebrated the joy of reading.
🤝 A Special Connection
Adding to the magic, our Form 1 boys spent a heartwarming morning with the Scrummies boys. Together they shared stories, laughter, playtime, and of course, cups of hot chocolate. The older boys became storytellers and companions, showing how books can bridge ages and create bonds across our school community.
🌟 Why It Matters
Moments like these remind us that books are more than pages—they are gateways to imagination, friendship, and shared joy. They help us connect, inspire curiosity, and nurture empathy.
Well done to everyone who made World Book Day at Scrummies such a memorable celebration. – Mrs. Lauren Smythe
