Pullen en Howell hokkietoernooi. 🏑 Hoërskool Randburg se debuut blink by Pullen en Howell-toernooi!
Hoërskool Randburg het vanjaar vir die eerste keer deelgeneem aan die gesogte Pullen en Howell hokkietoernooi. En watter puik begin was dit nie! Die skool is ongelooflik trots op beide ons o.16-span en eerste span dogters, wat hul plek met trots in die B-Afdeling van die toernooi ingeneem het.
O.16 Dogters:
- Die span het hul toernooi afgesluit met ‘n indrukwekkende 9de plek.
- In hul eerste uitspeelwedstryd het hulle Fourways High met 2-0 verslaan.
- Daarna het hulle Edenvale High School met 1-0 geklop om die 9de plek in die afdeling te verseker.
Eerste Span Dogters:
- Die eerste span het hulself tot in die finaal van die B-Afdeling uitgespeel.
- Hoewel hulle in ‘n taai wedstryd teen Steyn City vasgeval het met ‘n telling van 0-2, het hulle die toernooi met ‘n silwermedalje afgesluit – ‘n merkwaardige prestasie vir hul eerste deelname ooit!
Die toernooi het nie net sportiewe groei bevorder nie, maar het ook waardevolle voorbereiding gebied vir die Noodvaal-toernooi wat binnekort plaasvind. Ons sien uit daarna om te sien wat hierdie talentvolle en gedrewe span nog gaan bereik!
Welgedaan aan al die dogters en afrigters – julle maak Randburg trots!
🏑 Randburg High School Shines in First Pullen and Howell Hockey Tournament!
For the very first time, Hoërskool Randburg proudly took part in the prestigious Pullen and Howell Hockey Tournament — and what an impressive debut it was! We couldn’t be prouder of our talented U.16 girls and first team, both competing in the B-Division of this year’s tournament.
👉 U.16 Girls Team Highlights:
- The team finished in a strong 9th place overall.
- In their first playoff match, they secured a confident 2-0 victory over Fourways High.
- They continued their winning streak by defeating Edenvale High 1-0, locking in 9th place in the division.
🥈 First Team Girls Highlights:
- The first team pushed through to reach the final match in the B-Division.
- In a challenging and hard-fought game against Steyn City, they were narrowly defeated 0-2.
- Despite the loss, the girls walked away with a silver medal — an incredible achievement for their first appearance at the tournament.
This exciting experience served as excellent preparation for our teams ahead of the upcoming Noordvaal tournament. The spirit, determination, and teamwork shown throughout the Pullen and Howell Tournament promise great things ahead!
