This past weekend, Parel Vallei High School was proudly represented by equestrian talent Lea Retief at the prestigious Western Cape Dressage Yard League, a competitive event that draws riders from schools and yards across the province.
Held under the auspices of the Western Cape Equestrian Federation, the league showcases riders in various dressage categories, testing their precision, control, and harmony with their horses. Lea competed in both the Prelim Test and the Walk-Trot Test, demonstrating exceptional skill and poise.
Lea’s results:
- 1st Place in the Prelim Test
- 3rd Place in the Walk-Trot Test
Her outstanding performance has earned her the top overall ranking in the Western Cape League for her Prelim score — a remarkable achievement that reflects her dedication, training, and passion for the sport.
Lea’s success not only highlights her personal talent but also brings pride to her yard and school community. With the season still underway, she remains a strong contender for further accolades in upcoming events.
