Grey High School in Gqeberha is beaming with pride as student-athlete Caleb Levey returns home victorious after making waves on the global stage. Caleb was part of the Elevate Water Polo team that claimed top honours at the inaugural BIWPA Summer Cup held in Spain.
Representing the Elevate U16 programme, the team embarked on a week-long journey to Lloret de Mar, a coastal town just outside Barcelona. The schedule was packed with elite-level training, exhibition matches, and fierce international competition. Their commitment and skill paid off, culminating in a thrilling win over CN Sant Feliu—the reigning champions of the U18 division—in the final.
The tournament, hosted by the Barcelona International Water Polo Academy (BIWPA), drew youth teams from across Europe and beyond, offering a dynamic platform for rising talent. Caleb’s performance stood out not only for his athleticism but also for his poise under pressure and team spirit.
