Midmar Mile 2025. Anna-Lee Pillay, Curro Salt Rock Grade 12 learner, Ballito, completed her 7th Midmar Mile swim this past weekend.

Mrs Debbie Smeda is a grade 3 teacher at Curro Salt Rock Primary school. She also completed the grueling 8-𝙈𝙞𝙡𝙚 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙚 at the Midmar Mile 2025 this past Friday!

This challenge is no small feat. It involves swimming the Midmar Dam 8 times in two days, covering nearly 13 km of open water. More than just a physical achievement, it’s also about raising funds for worthy causes, with swimmers supporting initiatives such as cancer awareness and conservation efforts.

This is an incredible feat – 2024 was Debbie’s first Midmar mile and only a year later she tacked the 8 mile!
