schoolsthatrockWinter Sport. The Winter Sports Captains and Vice Captains of Camps Bay High School were announced in assembly on Monday.
Congratulations to all those selected to lead their teams. Head of Sport, Ms Ngcwama, reminded the Captains and Vice Captains that as captain or vice captain they serve as a leader and representative of the team both on and off the field. They are responsible for setting an example of good sportsmanship. They are also resposible for motivating and inspiring their teammates, and communicating with coaches, referees, and other teams.
In addition to their on-field responsibilities, team captains need to report back on their team’s results in assemblies on Mondays.
The following Captains and Vice Captains were announced:
- Boys soccer – Captain: Emihle Xala. Vice Captain: Imange Stemela
- Chess – Captain: Josh Langdon. Vice Captain: Sefton Mansfield-Scaddon
- Cross Country – Captain: Akho Mayapi. Vice Captain: Siya Mxi
- Debating – Captain: Jordan Prince
- Girls soccer – Captain: Daniella Segall. Vice Captain: Georgina Woodburn
- Netball – Captain: Sienna Anderson. Vice Captain: Georgia Campbell-Young
- Hockey – Captain: Amber Langford. Vice Captain: Kate Ancketill
- Rugby – Captain: Zaim Sheikh. Vice Captain: Iyaad Isaacs
- Squash – Captain: Brody Williamson. Vice Captain: James Heather- Clarke
- Surfing – Captain: Asher Borchardt
