Union High School’s new Representative Council of Learners (RCL) for 2019/20 was announced recently. The RCL is a legislated body, consisting of four learners each from Grade 8 to Grade 11, whose purpose is to ensure that student opinion on the running of the school is heard and noted. The RCL also plays a big role in maintaining discipline at Union High School.
These young leaders have a busy year ahead and Union welcomes them into their new positions. The leaders are: (Grade 8) Brigette Oelofsen, Caitrin Spence, Xhamla Magubeni and Andrue (AJ) Victor, (Grade 9) Asa Matross, Barbara McNaughton, Mohamed (Aashiq) Hartley and Ruzhe Hendricks, (Grade 10) Catelyn Anthony, Hannah Watermeyer, Kyle-Luke du Preez and Rogan Odendaal (Grade 11) Sakhe Booi, Laetitia Theron, Bowen Langmead and Buchule Siloti.
May you have the conviction and wisdom to lead the school to new heights.
