Western Cape Athletics Championships. Somerset College shines at Western Cape Championships.
Congratulations to the Boland athletes who proudly represented Somerset College at the Western Cape Athletics Championships in Stellenbosch this past weekend. Competing at the iconic Coetzenburg Stadium is a milestone in any athlete’s journey, and Somerset College’ students rose to the occasion with outstanding performances:
- David de Klerk (Gr 11) – secured a brilliant 3rd place in the Boys U17 Javelin.
- Tristan Beckley (Gr 11) – achieved a massive new personal best of 2m to finish 5th in the Boys U17 High Jump.
- Storm de Klerk (Gr 8) – showcased incredible talent, placing 5th in the Girls U14 Javelin.
The school is immensely proud of the athletes’ hard work, dedication, and the way they carried the Somerset College spirit onto the provincial stage. Well done!
